<span style="font-size:12pt; font-family:Arial; color:#000000; font-weight:400">The NASA Global Change Master Directory (GCMD) staff is pleased to announce the release of the GCMD keywords version 9.1.5. Version 9.1.5 consists of a revised set of the Data
Format keywords (formally Granule Data Format) based on a community review conducted through NASA's Earth Science Data and Information Systems (ESDIS) Standards Office (ESO). </span></p>

<span style="font-size:12pt; font-family:Arial; color:#000000; font-weight:400">The
</span><a href="https://gcmd.earthdata.nasa.gov/kms/concepts/concept_scheme/GranuleDataFormat/?format=csv"><span style="font-size:12pt; font-family:Arial; color:#1155cc; font-weight:400; text-decoration:underline; text-decoration-skip-ink:none">Data Format</span></a><span style="font-size:12pt; font-family:Arial; color:#000000; font-weight:400">
list of keywords represents the format of the data that is distributed by the data center. Based on the review, there were 48 keywords added, 39 keywords revised, and 6 keywords deleted. </span></p>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.2; text-align: justify; margin-top:12pt; margin-bottom:12pt">
<span style="font-size:12pt; font-family:Arial; color:#000000; font-weight:400">The keywords help facilitate the classification and discovery of Earth Science data by providing a rich vocabulary for characterizing the data. The GCMD keywords are used by hundreds
of data providers worldwide for categorizing the ~33,000 records stored in the</span><a href="http://earthdata.nasa.gov/cmr"><span style="font-size:12pt; font-family:Arial; color:#1155cc; font-weight:400; text-decoration:underline; text-decoration-skip-ink:none">
Common Metadata Repository</span></a><span style="font-size:12pt; font-family:Arial; color:#000000; font-weight:400">. </span></p>
