very interesting opportunity. Note the EPA webinar/Q&A opportunity coming
up JANUARY 11.

COMMUNITY AIR QUALITY MONITORING GRANTS



The U.S. EPA has announced a US$20 million grant competition “to enhance
ambient air quality monitoring in and near underserved communities across
the United States.“ Eligible applicants are “states (including the District
of Columbia); local governments; U.S. territories and possessions; Indian
tribes; public and private hospitals and laboratories; and other public or
private nonprofit organizations.” “Underserved communities” means
“communities with environmental and health outcome disparities stemming
from pollution and the COVID-19 pandemic.” Applications are due *February
25, 2022* by 11:59 PM Eastern. An interactive informational webinar where
questions can be asked will be *January 11, 2022*, 1-2 PM Eastern. This
competition could be an opportunity for interested ESIP members, either
directly or as partners with eligible applicants.
