Hi Diana,

I should clarify, I did not participate in creating this standard.  I only sent it round as I thought it might be useful.

Having said that, your suggestions are excellent!  You may want to consider contacting that standards group and provide it them as feedback.

In the interim, one could 'extend' the standard with their own more precise terminology (obviously 🙂 ).

Hi Brandon,

Thank you for providing this!  Looking over the specfication, I am wondering if there is any value to adding specification for the following terms:

 rejected  - I know that in the traditional publication model this is the null set, but with the internet, I can imagine someone self-publishing and wanting people to know that they tried the traditional route first or perhaps someone else wanting to point that out.

 Also the terms "withdrawn" and  "retracted"  seem useful (?)
