Thanks for this, Matt. I think we have reasonable connections between the groups, especially because of Dan. However the the connections may not be all that obvious to the community. I think we work at different levels. The research artifact group is still
 working at a pretty high level of abstraction. Perhaps we should set aside code for the time being as FORCE11 is clearly further along in that area.

<a href="https://github.com/force11/force11-sciwg" target="_blank" class="">Force 11 Software Citation Implementation working group</a>, and particularly through the CodeMeta task force (see
<a href="https://github.com/force11/force11-sciwg/issues?q=is%3Aissue+is%3Aopen+%22codemeta%22" target="_blank" class="">
issues</a> and <a href="https://docs.google.com/document/d/1s2mUS9JjIOq-4-0rZTFNaTO7W9umNF4mCf-uypPwGsQ" target="_blank" class="">
schema.org alignment outline</a>).  That group has been working on aligning CodeMeta with
<a href="http://schema.org/" target="_blank" class="">schema.org</a>, and proposing specific approaches to, e.g., align the CREDIT taxonomy with e.g., ISO Role codes.  See for example, this GitHub issue in which a
<a href="https://github.com/codemeta/codemeta/issues/240" target="_blank" class="">
specific proposal for using CREDIT</a> is being discussed. The vision is to also align with the
<a href="http://science-on-schema.org/" target="_blank" class="">science-on-schema.org</a> ESIP cluster's recommendations, and we've discussed merging the CodeMeta work with the Science on
<a href="http://schema.org/" target="_blank" class="">Schema.org</a> work.<br class="">
