All,

There is an uncontested proposal to work on our "5 page" Semantic
Harmonization during this session.
As an aid here are some links to the "work in progress":

Here is a working outline adapted from some of the above with an idea or
two.

On the importance and practice of semantic harmonization for Usable Data

   1.

*The need (Some background to explain this - need 1 or 2 references) *
   2.

*What the Problems are (why needs haven’t been easily addressed, again *need
   1 or 2 references
   3.

*The vision (and Strategy to achieve it) Does this include a process
   diagram?*
   4.

*Examples of efforts to date (Cryo examples)*
   5.

*The risk (technical but also social and organizational) *
   6.

*Best Practice Recommendations and Issues (ESIP focus for now?). *
   1.

*A semantic spectrum frame for harmonization*
      2.

*Semantic analysis of concepts in definition *
      3.

      *Crediting the work.....*
      7.

*Next steps (original idea was to mention **Marine**?? But now *
   *wildfires**?)*
