Hi Folks,

I’ve taken the jam board from our semantics session at the January ESIP meeting and added 3 pages which take the input we received and organized it into 3 new pages appended to the end of the board:

Educational Roadblocks - i.e., more or less easy to handle training needs
Cultural Roadblocks - much harder to deal with!
Semantics Community Roadblocks - problems within the semantics community itself that need dealing with

OK, so that’s a very crude way of putting it; but I though you all might find looking at what I did interesting at least given that we need to discuss these results at our 1 hour meeting in two weeks. I also moved the jam board into our folder for the January meeting. The board is at https://jamboard.google.com/d/1fPCjEjkij6sFopYDifAfqnYQKlg1p_-5hcWehiL7jt0/edit?usp=sharing. You should all have access but if not let me know.

I turned editing off at least for the moment as I don’t think it would be fair to have folks add new content that purports to be from the meeting to it!

Lastly, we’ve been asked to create a slide for the 2023 January ESIP Meeting Highlights Webinar on Wednesday February 22nd from 3-4:30 pm ET. I will use the ESIP template to create the slide and will send it around for review in a few days, so stay tuned!

Ruth
