Hi BESSIG!

I'm writing to tell you about the October meeting, and to ask your help 
regarding the September meeting.

Mark your calendar for October's meeting!  Brian Wee, Steve Aulenbach, 
and I have organized a panel discussion on "Informing Science Policy: 
the role for Scientists and Engineers" to be held on Wed, Oct 10, 4:00 
PM at NEON HQ here in Boulder.  Confirmed panel participants are: Alice 
Madden (WIRTH Chair in Sustainable Development), Andy Schutheiss (Polis 
District Director), Dan Baker (Director, LASP), and Peter Backlund 
(Director NCAR External Relations).  NEON is hosting the event, thanks 
so much to them!  This will be formally announced soon, pending a few 
details.

I write to you now asking for help with an agenda for a meeting in 
September.  I would for us to meet in order to keep up the energy, but 
also to support the Outlook Hotel, which has been very supportive of us. 
  Given that we won't be meeting there in October, it would be nice to 
support them at least in September.

So please consider - Would you be willing to talk with us for 20 minutes 
about your work or something else?  Or, do you know someone else doing 
something interesting that might want to talk?

Or, if enough people indicated they would come we could simply have a 
social.  Or????
