Good news! We have a volunteer to present iPython Notebook to us in
June, Monte Lunacek from CU Research Computing (cc'ed here). He says
they have been using, teaching, and trying to promote the iPython
Notebook to python users in research computing. He has used it on their
supercomputer, and says, "wow, parallel computing on a cluster from a
web browser".
But, neither of us knows anyone using it for Earth or space science.
Does anyone out there know someone that is? That could be a nice
complement to the presentation.
When I get a title and abstract from Monte I'll post the info on the
BESSIG web site. Stay tuned.
