[Bessig] ESIP Summer Meeting - Frisco, CO - July 8-11, 2014 & ESIP Testbed RFP

Hi All -

As many of you know the Federation of Earth Science Information Partner's
Summer Meeting <http://commons.esipfed.org/2014SummerMeeting> will be in
Frisco, CO at Copper Mountain. The theme is "Linking It Together:
Sustainable Software Advancing Science Data and Services". Registration for
the meeting will open at the end of the month, but you can reserve your
room now by calling Copper.

There is currently an open call for meeting sessions and all of the BESSIG
topic are relevant and of interest to ESIP. We also have an opportunity for
CO locals to showcase cool demos for the length of the meeting - so far we
are working on NCAR's flight tracker and NOAA ESRL's Science on a Sphere.
If you are interested in a demo please let me know.

ESIP also runs a Testbed program, which provides seed funding and resources
to get cool projects off the ground. All the details are here:
http://testbed.esipfed.org/ Proposals are due by 4/30.
