Anne, I certainly understand your decision and am surprised only by how much you've given to this until now. I offer a heartfelt THANKS! — Dave

Hi BESSIG,
All things have their season. After doing more research about various options for moving BESSIG forward, I have realized that I do not have the cycles to maintain the BESSIG as I envisioned it. I’m writing now to let you know that I am stepping down as BESSIG organizer.
Thank you all for the amazing support you have provided for this group over the past five years!! A big thanks are due to all who presented over the years, each of whom enabled a meeting to happen. Also, thanks to those who showed up and engaged. It was quite fine - every time just the right people showed up! Nice how that works. I have thoroughly enjoyed coordinating our meetings and bringing everyone together. It broadened my horizons, provided stimulating conversations, and made my professional world better and more fun. I hope it served a few others in that way as well.
As I’ve expressed to Erin, if anyone else would like to organize ESIP-Boulder or whatever it might be, I completely support that and would be pleased to participate. I look forward to seeing what others might come up with for the group. Presumably the email list will persist for a while.
I apologize to the speakers that were on deck: Ruth, Chris, Jeff, and Mike. I hope another Boulder group arises soon that can provide a forum for our topics.
See you around!
Anne
