Dear Colleague,

We would like to bring your attention to a session at the next AGU Fall Meeting 2021, which may be of interest: Session IN019 - Connecting Disciplines and Data in Earth and Environmental Synthesis Research: Enabling Interdisciplinary Data Discovery, Integration, and Reuse" (see https://agu.confex.com/agu/fm21/prelim.cgi/Session/121907).

The AGU Fall Meeting 2021 will take place from 13-17 December 2021 in New Orleans, LA. It will be a hybrid format (virtual and in-person) allowing remote participation.

This session aims to bring together domain scientists and informatics professionals to discuss scientific use cases that integrate diverse data resources. Interdisciplinary scientists may report on work that integrates diverse data, and any challenges encountered in data synthesis. Reports of failures and successes are encouraged, as well as community coordination, data standards, and/or infrastructure that have contributed to enabling research data integration across disciplines. We will discuss scientific needs and potential solutions to optimize data discovery, integration, and reuse to efficiently address current and future research challenges.

We look forward to your submissions, which may include interdisciplinary data synthesis research, or user-friendly standards and tools that enable interdisciplinary work.

The deadline for the submission of abstracts is August 4, 2021. Please feel free to share among your colleagues and apologies for cross-posting.

Best regards,

The Conveners (Joan Damerow, Lesley Wyborn, Lindsay Powers, Corinna Gries)
