We'll have an invited speaker, Rich Bernknopf, Director of the Science Impact Laboratory for Policy and Economics, University of New Mexico, who will present an overview of VOI (value of information) and a case study involving the Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) data, drought index, and flood forecast. ESIP's 2018 theme is “Data for our changing Earth: Realizing the Socioeconomic Value of Earth Science Data.”
