The webinar below on tribal climate adaptation might be of interest to
folks, although the webinar may not incorporate anything about
informatics.

If you're interested in informatics-related tribal climate adaptation, I
previously led a cluster called "Data to Decisions for Climate Resilience"

*incomplete* concept map <https://tinyurl.com/d2dresilience>on the topic
"Use-case Pipeline on Indigenous Peoples - Food Security - Pacific
Northwest - Yakima River Basin" that incorporated ideas from the US Climate
Resilience Toolkit, the US Global Change Research Program, and formal
decision-analysis techniques, and others.

>From the moment of inception of the "data to decisions for climate
resilience" cluster, the cluster was programmed to only last three months
with an explicit sunset date, so I unfortunately did not get to focus on
the informatics part either (with respect to the likely contents of the
webinar below).  At that time, I had instead focused on some of the science
and policy issues related to that use-case of the *Yakama* Nations (whose
lands are in the *Yakima* River Basin in Washington State).  A very recent
discussion with Bill Teng (NASA Goddard, co-chair of ag-and-climate
cluster) and Arif Albayrak (NASA Goddard, heavily involved in machine
learning) re-ignited the idea (circa late 2017) of crowd-sourcing concept
maps to generate additional maps like the one above.  Those concept maps
can then be converted into a representation that can be shoved into a
triple-store (or whatever you fancy), and subsequently exposed to a machine
reasoner to help humans think through the science, technology, and policy
aspects of climate resilience challenges.
