Samapriya Roy, Planet Senior Solutions Engineer & Mariana Curdoglo, Planet Solutions Engineer will give a talk titled, “Planet imagery and Google Earth Engine for pre- and post-wildfire assessment”
Mitigating risks to civilian infrastructure from wildfires is increasingly important in the Western U.S., as wildfire frequency and severity increases in the wildland/urban interface. Planet's high temporal and spatial resolution imagery is unique in its ability to assess pre-wildfire conditions and post-wildfire impacts. Planet will present an analysis showing the utility of PlanetScope, SkySat and Google Earth Engine to show a pathway for identifying post-fire risk.
