Open Data Kit (https://cgiar.us15.list-manage.com/track/click?u=59a7500ef5c94dd50e2b9e2fb&id=b22ece708f&e=29db7c2672) (ODK) is the world’s most popular open-source data collection platform. ODK is the standard for mobile data collection for leading social impact organizations. With more than a million users in all countries globally (and even at the International Space Station), it’s hard to overstate the impact of ODK on open data and international development. Agricultural research is one of the areas that benefited from ODK and its family of data collection tools (e.g., KoBoToolbox and Ona). In this webinar, Yaw Anokwa, the co-founder and CEO of ODK, will show exciting innovations in the open data platform to help data collection efforts in agriculture and offer a glimpse into its future. Yaw will also share stories on ODK’s evolution over the last decade and scaling to the millions of users while overcoming the challenges of managing an open-source software project along the way.

Nafundi's mission is to create technologies that improve the lives of the underserved. Their current focus is on replacing paper-based workflows with mobile apps.

Anokwa recently completed his Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Washington.
