Please note that the hotel referenced below should be Hilton Mark Center
in Alexandria (not Adams Mark).

Sorry for the confusion...it was all mine.

Subject: [ESIP-all] Global Disaster Information Network Conference

As you are aware, the Foundation is beginning to cultivate additional
federal partners to become active in the Federation. Our State
Department contact shared the attached information about an upcoming
conference that they're sponsoring. The Global Disaster Information
Network helps disaster managers worldwide enhance their capacity to
receive and use disaster information, generally through the more
effective use of existing resources. Much of the information used comes
from remotely sensed sources. The GDIN conference is being held March
26-29, 2004 at the Adams Mark Hotel in Alexandria, Virginia. (Some
conference events will be held at the US Department of State. Bus
transportation will be provided from the hotel.)

Further, if you are interested in presenting at the conference, there
are a few program openings still available. Please contact Larry Roeder
if you are interested in being on the program (RoederLA at state.gov).

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Larry Roeder.

Carol
