>All are invited to participate in Tuesday's Products & Services telecon, to help create standard measures of data quality for the Federation Earth Information Exchange (EIE). There are several dimensions of data quality (instrument accuracy, contamination from environmental effects, etc.), and within each dimension, many measures are in use. We will try to come with meaningful 1-10 scales for each dimension. Data providers can then map their own measures to these standards. 3rd party ratings, comments, and reviews are intended to be part of the EIE. Continuation of this discussion at the Summer Federation Meeting is likely.
