The ESIP Federation Winter Meeting 2007, Matching Opportunities with
Technical Solutions, will take place January 3-5, 2007 in Portland,
Oregon. For the first time, the ESIP Federation’s technically-focused
sessions will meet up with the applications-focused sessions to make
progress toward applying cutting-edge technologies to real-world
problems. Attendees should come prepared to
*	Provide concrete issue area problems for which technical
solutions are sought.
*	Aid the issue area working group leads in identifying
opportunities where technology can be applied.
*	Offer technology solutions to the application areas to infuse
data and capabilities into decision making systems and user communities.

*	Develop collaborations that will lead to responses to current
and near-term funding opportunities

This meeting again will feature a virtual poster session. The theme for
this poster session is "Getting Reacquainted With Your Partners." The
intent of the poster session is for all ESIP Federation partners
(organized by ESIP Type) to submit a poster describing its ESIP’s
activities, people, capabilities and interests. Since many of our
partner projects have evolved since becoming members, we are looking to
get up to date on each others’ activities, needs and priorities. Submit
your abstract (150 words or less) when you register and provide a ppt
version of your poster (2 slides). A template for your poster is
provided on the meeting website Abstracts will be handed out with the
meeting packet and posters will be available online. The poster upload
link will be available shortly. Partners are welcome to hand out a
copy of their poster on 8½ x 11 paper.
