Last summer, a Strategic Planning Working Group was formed by the ESIP
Federation's Executive Committee. Members of the Working Group were
chosen from a subset of the Executive Committee and included:
Charles Hutchinson, Chair
Rob Raskin
Bruce Caron
Chris Lenhardt
Jami Montgomery
Kerry Handron
Jeff Arnfield
Stefan Falke
Tamara Ledley
In addition, federal agency partners were invited to participate in
Working Group meetings. The first output of the Working Group is a draft
Strategic Plan for 2008-2013. The Working Group will continue to meet
to examine governance and operational needs to realize the Strategic
Plan's goals and objectives.
The Working Group is seeking broader input to the Plan, which may be
formalized at the July 2008 ESIP Federation meeting. A copy of the Plan
is attached to this message and is also available on the ESIP Federation
wiki at
http://wiki.esipfed.org/index.php/Draft_Strategic_Plan_-_5/19/08_Version.
The Working Group invites you to join an upcoming telecon during which
members of the ESIP Federation can provide feedback and input into this
draft Strategic Plan. Telecons are scheduled for:
Monday, June 9, 2008 at 2 pm EDT
Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at 2 pm EDT
