[ESIP-all] ESIP Federation Elections

ESIP Friends and Colleagues,

The 2010 ESIP Federation election is a two step process: 1) election of the Assembly Officers and the Committee Chairs and 2) the ESIP Type representatives for all committees.  Step 1 is an online election while Step 2 will occur during caucuses of the respective Type members during the Business section portion of the Winter Meeting of the ESIP Federation (5-7 January in Washington DC).  The nomination period for the  election of the Assembly Officers and the Committee Chairs remains open through Sunday, 13 December 2009.

Next week the ESIP Federation will open up the online elections for the Assembly Officers positions and the Chairs of the Administrative Committees (Constitution & Bylaws, Finance, and Partnership) and Standing Committees (Information Technology and Interoperability, Education, and Products and Services).  Please visit the Constitution and Bylaws section (http://wiki.esipfed.org/index.php/Constitution_and_Bylaws) of the ESIP wiki to review the current slate of offices up for election.

The Type representatives election (Step 2) occurs during the Winter Meeting, thus we will keep the nomination period for the Type representatives open through 5 January 2010.  I would like to encourage you to nominate  someone for any of the positions.  If you are interested in running for a position, please seek out a colleague and have them nominate you or contact any of the Constitution and Bylaws Committee members:
