Dear fellow ESIP Federation members,
Like you, we are looking forward to the upcoming meeting in Santa Fe next
month. And we would like to solicit your expertise during your time in
Santa Fe.
We on the Climate Literacy and Energy Awareness Network (CLEAN) Pathway
project are building an online reviewed collection of climate education
resources for teachers and students at the middle-school, high-school and
college levels (http://cleanet.org). Each resource must have an expert
science review.
That's where you come in.
During the ESIP Federation meeting, we will be set up on site with a
resource review station. Most resources, which have undergone preliminary
scientific and pedagogical review usually take under 30 minutes to review.
You will be making an important contribution to the teaching of climate
literacy by helping us vet the science in these resources!
Please stop by our review station and do a review or two. We'll have more
information on the meeting wiki - Agenda By Day pages - and here:
http://wiki.esipfed.org/index.php/Summer_2011_Meeting_-_Session_Details.
We would be happy to answer any questions. If you are not coming to Santa
Fe and are interested in contributing a science review please let us know.
Thanks so much and see you in Santa Fe!
Sincerely,
The Climate Literacy and Energy Awareness (CLEAN) Pathway Project:
Tamara Shapiro Ledley, TERC
Marian Grogan, TERC
Mark McCaffrey, The Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental
Sciences (CIRES)/NSIDC
