Dear colleagues,

As a final reminder, if you are interested in preservation and stewardship of science data, please submit an abstract to session IN22: Issues in Scientific Data Preservation and Stewardship

Description: While data grow more voluminous and complex, there is increased public scrutiny of science and its methods. There is call for more transparency and better scientific reproducibility, which requires robust data stewardship. This session seeks submissions on challenges and solutions for effectively stewarding data through the full data life cycle. We seek new developments in identification and dissemination of best practices; strategies and methods for fully and openly tracking data provenance; data citation and other mechanisms for ensuring credit, accountability, and reproducibility; mechanisms for capturing full data context in preservation description information; and innovative approaches to creating and maintaining archive packages.

The submission site is open now at http://agu-fm11.abstractcentral.com/.

Please note that the deadline for submission is 4 August 23:59 EDT, much earlier than in previous years.

Thanks,

Conveners:

Mark Parsons and Ruth Duerr (NSIDC/CIRES University of Colorado)
H. K. "Rama Ramapriyan (NASA Goddard Space Flight Center)
