Hi All -

A few updates for the week:

   1. Visioneers call* today, 1pm EDT *(call-in
   This call will nail down the Winter Meeting theme as well as begin to layout
   a process for submitting and selecting breakout sessions.

   2. Speaking of the 2012 Winter Meeting, the dates are January 4-6, 2012
   in Washington, D.C. at the Renaissance Dupont Circle.

   3. Emails from the Foundation Staff to ESIP-All, i.e. Monday Updates,
   will be moving to a MailChimp account in the next week. If you are on the
   ESIP-all list, you will automatically be moved over to our MailChimp system.

   4. We are starting an ESIP blog as a way to create connections across the
   Federation and to other relevant communities. If you would be interested in
   contributing please send me an email (erinrobinson at esipfed.org). Some
   blog post ideas:
   (a) a rotating type rep guest blogger for each of the ESIP types to write
   a post once a month for a quarter.
   (b) member organizations interviews
   (c) articles from committees, clusters and workgroups about current
   activities of interest
   (d) if you participate in other communities and would like to write a
   post introducing that community to the larger ESIP audience.
   (e) guest post or series of posts on new technologies, concepts, relevant
   to ESIP
   (f) other ideas you may have!

   5. Moore Request for Data Intensive Science

contributions via comments or idea submission.
   Many ESIP-ers have submitted ideas
