Title: Using Drush

This will describe how to install and run Drush, and how this tool can help
with Drupal site development, maintenance and deployment processes. Some of
the most commonly used commands will be demonstrated and the when and why
you would use them - for example downloading and upgrading modules and
pushing databases and site files to test instances. We will also look at how
CivicActions manages site version control and deployment, and how Drush can
fit into that pattern.

Owen Barton is a Drush co-maintainer and Director of Engineering at
CivicActions. He has been been using Drupal professionally since 2002 and
together with the CivicActions team has developed Drupal sites for
organizations like Amnesty International, SACNAS (Society for Advancement of
Chicanos and Native Americans in Science) SolveClimate.org, the MIT Center
for Future Civic Media and the Tagging of Pacific Predators (TOPP) Great
Turtle Race.
