The ESIP Summer

"ESIP Community Leadership: Innovating Throughout the Data Life
Cycle". With that in mind part of the plenary session will be on *Innovators
Among Us* - a combination of shorter, ignite style (5 min, auto advance)
talks and slightly longer, visionary, TED-style (9 mins, control of your
slides) talks, that highlight the innovation (questioning, observing,
experimenting, networking and creating associations) that is going on
throughout the ESIP Community.

This is a great opportunity for virtual participants to present as well, so

*NOAA Environmental Data Management Conference: *NOAA’s Environmental Data
Management Committee is holding its 3rd annual conference May 15-17, 2012  at
the University of Maryland conference center . The Conference, which is
primarily aimed at an internal NOAA audience, also seeks to draw in
expertise from the broader community by way of presentation and
participation.

The EarthCube Governance Workshop Steering Committee cordially invites you
to participate in the virtual workshop plenary session for outlining a
Governance Roadmap for NSF's EarthCube initiative.

*Option 1: Wednesday, April 11, 2012 from 11am to 1pm EDT (8am to 10am PDT,
9am to 11am MDT, 10am to noon CDT)

*Option 2: Tuesday, April 17, 2012 from 3pm to 5pm EDT (noon to 2pm PDT,
1pm to 3pm MDT, 2pm to 4pm CDT)
*

The session will be hosted twice in order to accommodate demanding
schedules.  Each session will be broadcast via WebEx live; instructions on
accessing the WebEx are at the bottom of this announcement.  The sessions
are identical in topic and structure.  Each will also be recorded and
posted on Ning; however, due to the participatory nature of these sessions
we encourage live participation in at least one of the events.
