Hi All -

Lots of activity around the ESIP Federation lately. New Partnership
applications are posted for
review<http://wiki.esipfed.org/index.php/Partnership_Applications>.
ESIP Meeting planning is in full swing with a few notes below. Around the
Federation - EarthCube Governance Workshop, NOAA's EDMC, DataOne and and
SESNYC are holding workshops in the next several weeks. AGU Session
abstracts are also due Friday. Not to mention, a week full of ESIP
collaboration area telecons (Earth Science Collab and Geospatial today).

* Innovator's Among Us
talk<https://docs.google.com/a/esipfed.org/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dGJNeWVFc2lKVmFhb0gtNktXZTcwaXc6MQ#gid=0>-
ESIP members are a self-selected group of people pushing the edge of
Earth science informatics. According to the criteria laid out in 'The
Innovator's DNA' ESIP members score high on the innovation
spectrum<http://wiki.esipfed.org/index.php/ESIP_and_Innovation>.
At the Summer meeting we are devoting the second half of the plenary
session to showcasing innovative ideas and work. Present your idea in a 5
or 9 minute talk. One benefit of presenting at the ESIP meeting is
increased network density - it is hard to turn around without running into
someone who can help you move your idea forward. During lunch there will be
time and space to hash out your idea with others that are interested. Submit
a talk<https://docs.google.com/a/esipfed.org/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dGJNeWVFc2lKVmFhb0gtNktXZTcwaXc6MQ#gid=0>
by
May 15. These talks can also be presented virtually - so there is no reason
to not share!

* Registration is

(in
person and virtual). Early bird pricing ends May 31. For the ESIP hotel
