[ESIP-all] Monday Update: Summer Meeting Videos | ESIP Committee/ Work Group Budgets | New Open Source Cluster

Hi All -

A quick update today.
1. The videos recorded from the Summer Meeting plenary have been
posted<https://vimeo.com/album/2042150>.
Mark your calendar - Visioneers will meet September 10 to begin discussing
ideas about future meetings and ESIP innovation more generally.

2. ESIP Committees and Work Groups are eligible to request funding. So far
have had discussions about budget proposals.

All requests are due **Sept. 15**, so the remaining groups will still meet
and discuss in the next few weeks. A reminder that clusters cannot request
funding.

3. Chris Mattman is leading up an effort to start an Open Source Cluster. Join
the list-serve <http://lists.esipfed.org/mailman/listinfo/esip-opensource>or
check
the wiki <http://wiki.esipfed.org/index.php/Opensource> for more details.
They will have their first call the first Monday of the month, 2 EDT.

*EarthCube Brokering Hack-A-Thon 2:* All recordings and slides are posted,
as well as the "Getting Started" instructions for using the Esri
Geoportal.  All of this can be found at the EarthCube Brokering Hack-a-Thon

Remember,
there will be a telecon this Wednesday and next Wednesday for addressing
any questions or issues that arise while using the Esri Geoportal as a
broker with your data services and client applications.  The schedule for
those telecons is:

   - Check-in Telecon 1 (Wednesday, August 22 from 12:00 - 13:00 EDT)
   - Check-in Telecon 2 (Wednesday, August 29 from 12:00 - 13:00 EDT)

WebEx details will be provided with the reminders, which will go out one
day prior to the telecon.  If you wish to contact someone about using the
