Metaphors?  How about allegory?

It might actually be fun to take the old "Adventure" game
and convert it to hypertext - one page per room (and have
fun with the "twisty little maze").  Let's see, then you could
have some of the rooms with books that you could open
and they'd have some kind of spell or activity or clue.

Do the "climate denier tribe" members wear dark cloaks
and pointy hats?  Do members of the climate modeling tribe
wander about like the tin man in the Wizard of Oz?
Obviously anyone speaking of "baroclinic instability"
or "vorticy" must know some pretty powerful spells,
since it's awfully hard to translate these spells into
the polite common tongue.
