Hi Annette,

The ORNL DAAC has a daily, 1-km gridded meteorological product that should be of use to you (http://daymet.ornl.gov).

It covers 1980 through 2011 for North America south of 52N. To extract a 1-km pixel for any location in this domain for Tmax, Tmin, Day length, Precip, Surface radiation, snow water equivalent, and vapor pressure visit the following URL:
http://daymet.ornl.gov/singlepixel

We provide the 1-km pixel data in csv (ASCII) format and a time series visualization. We also provide a script that lets you download in ASCII format larger areas / multiple locations.

Please let Michele Thornton (cc'd here) and me know if you have any questions.

Thanks
Bob

I am looking for web access that would be useable by citizens (so not big files like the GHCN ftp site), or iPhone or iPad app versions. Any help is appreciated!
