*Appology for cross-posting.*

Dear Colleagues,

This is Linyun Fu, convener of the session "(IN025) Models, Principles and
Best Practices for Scientific Data Portal Development" at AGU Fall Meeting
2013. It's my pleasure to invite you to contribute an abstract. Below is
the description for the session. Please note that the deadline is Aug 6 at
23:59 ET, and feel free to repost to appropriate places.

(IN025) Models, Principles and Best Practices for Scientific Data Portal
Development

Session Description:
Research areas like space physics, meteorology and geology are inherently
based on large amounts of experimental and/or observational data. Data
portals are indispensable to the conduct of research in these areas. While
the scientists know a lot about the data they collect, they are not
necessarily good Web engineers and/or designers. This session brings
together general models, principles and best practices specifically related
to building geoportals to help scientists as well as Web engineers and
designers better understand, develop and work with data portals.

To submit your abstract:
1. Login at https://fallmeeting.agu.org/2013/account/
2. On the "My Account" page, click the "Continue to Abstract Submissions"
button.
3. On the "Welcome to Submission Site" page, click the "Submission" tab at
the top.
4. Follow the instructions thereafter, at "Step 2", select "Earth and Space
Science Informatics (IN)" as "Section/Focus Group", and "IN025. Models,
Principles and Best Practices for Scientific Data Portal Development" as
"Session".

Best Regards,

Linyun
