Please consider participating in the following session (August 6 abstract deadline)

U012. Solutions for North American Water Security Challenges<https://fallmeeting.agu.org/2013/scientific-program/session-search/sessions/u012-solutions-for-north-american-water-security-challenges/> (San Francisco, Dec 9-13 2013)
Drought, rising temperature, population growth, urban sprawl, and over-extraction – our water supplies can no longer quench our thirst. We must establish the scientific basis, observation, modeling and decision approaches needed to achieve water security through climate, population and environmental change. The session focuses on large-scale atmospheric processes, terrestrial rivers and hydroclimate processes that transcend ecoregions and political boundaries requiring continental-scale synthesis. We invite interdisciplinary solutions that integrate hydroclimate observation and prediction resources that transcend scales and enable procedures and tools to adapt to change, as called for by the emerging North American Water Program (NAWP).
