[ESIP-all] ASTER Global Emissivity Database (GED) Product Release

LP DAAC released the Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection
Radiometer (ASTER) Global Emissivity Database (GED) datasets on April 2,
2014. The database was developed by the National Aeronautics and Space
Administration's (NASA) Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), California
Institute of Technology. The database includes land surface emissivities
derived from ASTER data acquired over Africa, Arabian Peninsula, Australia,
Europe, and China. Completion of South America is expected in 2014. By
increasing the geographic coverage of emissivity retrievals, these data
subsume (and thus replace) LP DAAC North American ASTER Land Surface
Emissivity Database (NAALSED), which was a seasonal data set consisting of
mean summer and winter products.

ASTER GED products are available on 1º×1º tiles at 100-meter or 1-kilometer
spatial resolution (nominal). For additional product information, please

Product tiles are available in HDF and binary format and may be downloaded
via HTTP by visiting the following data clients:
