The Evaluating ESIP Ontologies for Mapping and Reconciliation Project
works to develop a semi‐automated means for curating ontologies and
reconciling their representations. This happens through backend
mappings for semantically similar terms from different ontologies for
the same domain. This project highlights the gaps in coverage and
provides the basis for developing new ontologies or ontology modules.
The ToolMatch Service Testbed Project is a service based on
community-built semantic web applications that will provide data users
with the means to match their datasets with a comprehensive list of
useful, appropriate tools, and also provide data tool developers with
datasets or data collections that will work with their tools. Imagine
being able to discover exactly what tools can be used with your data,
and what datasets can be well-used with your favorite tools.
We hope you can join in, and learn how these projects may help your
own research.
