[ESIP-all] ESIP Educators Workshop - help get the word out!

Please share with your favorite west-coast educator ...

The ESIP education committee is inviting regional educators to */join 
us/* at the ESIP summer meeting at the Asilomar Conference Center in 
Pacific Grove California this summer.

The ESIP educator’s workshop will start at 1pm Wednesday 7/15 and end at 
3pm Thursday 7/16 and includes a poster session and community reception 
Wednesday evening. Educators are encouraged to stay overnight at 
Asilomar to maximize opportunities for interaction. Most workshop 
sessions will be focused on using Earth Science data to inform instruction.

*ESIP is looking for high school science teachers and **community 
college instructors to join our educational community. *Participating 
educators are eligible to receive a $100.00 time & travel stipend. To 
learn more about the ESIP summer meeting, lodging at Asilomar, and to 
register for the workshop, visit the ESIP summer meeting web page at

Conference registration fees and lunches are complimentary for educators.
(Simply identify yourself as a teacher when registering)

Preliminary workshop topics and tools include
•    NOAA Climate Resilience Toolkit
•    NASA Classroom Resources
•    STEM connections to the GOES-R Satellite Series
•    Using Data to satisfy the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS)
