[ESIP-all] Workshop, 'The Rescue of Data at Risk', Boulder, Colorado, 8-9 Sept 2016, in association with International Data Week

A workshop on "The Rescue of Data At Risk" will be held in Boulder, Colorado, on 8-9 September 2016 in association with International Data Week http://www.internationaldataweek.org/

The Workshop will present Case Studies that demonstrate the scientific value in recovering information in non-electronic data by using modern technology, and will debate the methods, techniques, and support, needed to make many more of those older data widely accessible.    It will be followed on 10 September by a mini-workshop and tutorial on aspects of data management.

The Workshop will be held at NCAR (Boulder), and is being organized by the joint CODATA Task Group for 'Data At Risk' http://www.codata.org/task-groups/data-at-risk and the RDA Interest Group on 'Data Rescue’ https://rd-alliance.org/groups/data-rescue.html
