Hi All -
This email is a request for your participation in a survey about the
increasing use of open data in science. Survey:
I am sharing this because ESIP is participating in the 'Enabling FAIR Data
coordinated by the American Geophysical Union and funded by the Arnold
Foundation. The project has a diverse set of partners, including the
Coalition on Publishing Data in the Earth and Space Sciences (COPDESS) and
Research Data Alliance (RDA), and support from the Proceedings of the
National Academy of Sciences (PNAS), *Nature*, *Science*, AuScope, National
Computational Infrastructure of Australia, the Australian National Data
Service, and the Center for Open Science.
As part of this project, Professor Joel Cutcher-Gershenfeld of Brandeis
University, is conducting a survey on open data in research. Your
participation in the survey is voluntary and your responses will not be
individually identified. We estimate that it will take 10-15 minutes to
complete the survey. You can participate in the survey at the following
A summary of the findings will be shared back with you. The survey is being

Please forward this to other relevant lists and colleagues.
Thank you for your time and consideration,
