The University of Wisconsin-Madison is accepting applications for the 
Director position at the Space Science and Engineering Center (SSEC). 
SSEC is a dynamic, multidisciplinary research center, the home of NOAA's 
Cooperative Institute for Meteorological Satellite Studies (CIMSS) and 
the birthplace of satellite meteorology. Its mission is to conduct 
atmospheric, oceanic, environmental and astronomical research using 
remote sensing from spaceborne, airborne, and surface-based platforms to 
discover and apply physical properties of the universe for the benefit 
of humanity.

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. or advanced degree in a relevant discipline 
and be eligible for tenure at the UW-Madison at the full professor 
level. The Space Science and Engineering Director will have a concurrent 
faculty appointment in an appropriate academic department.

Anticipated start date: March 1, 2018
