Hello,

I will be out of the office starting March 26th and returning April 5th. I will have limited access to email during that time, but will be checking in periodically. If you have an urgent matter that cannot wait until my return, please contact info at bco-dmo.org.

Thanks so much for your patience.

> EPA’s Smart City Air Challenge Webinar – Data in Community Air Quality Projects! April 10
>
> The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is conducting a webinar entitled “Data in Community Air Quality Projects.” It will be held on April 10, from noon to 1:15 p.m. EDT. Tune in as our speakers, Luis Omeldo, Executive Director and Humberto Lugo, Policy Advocate, both of Comite Civico del Valle, Inc. in the Imperial Valley, California and Holger Eisl, Co-director of the New York City Community Air Survey, Queens College describe how they collect data from air quality sensors, store it, then analyze it so they can use it.
>
> This webinar is one in a series of webinars to help communities manage data from air quality projects, continuing from EPA’s Smart City Air Challenge. The challenge encouraged communities to deploy hundreds of air quality sensors and make the resulting data open. The challenge winners, Greater Baltimore Open Air and the Lafayette Engagement and Research Network (LEaRN), are deploying 250 and 300 air quality sensors respectively in their communities. These projects and others demonstrate how local governments partner with sensor manufacturers, data management companies, and others to understand local environmental conditions.
