Dear colleagues,

Please consider submitting an abstract to the following Earth and Space Science Informatics session at the upcoming American Geophysical Union (AGU) Fall Meeting.
IN041: Innovative Visualization Solutions Merging Earth Science Data Representations and Analytics
Session Link: https://agu.confex.com/agu/fm18/prelim.cgi/Session/53018

Session Description:
Recent advancements of Earth observation technologies have garnered the production of massive amount of Earth science data. Scientific visualization serves an important role in the Earth science community to support exploration and analysis of this data. Web- and virtual-globe based visualizations are common methods to provide two-dimensional visualizations, however there is a clear need for innovative solutions for multi-dimensional, multi-variate, time-series visualization, as well as cutting-edge solutions that bring users closer to the actual data values and retrievals without sacrificing performance. In this session, we solicit novel approaches and solutions to mapping, visualization, and analyzing Earth science data. Topics include, but are not limited to, emerging technology and tools on browser-based data rendering, vertical curtain visualization, granule/orbit swath data visualizations, new strategies for visualizing irregular gridded data or vector field data, new visual analytics utilizing deep learning and other machine intelligence techniques, and visualization of multi-source Earth science data.
