This nine credit program can be completed entirely online or in person over a ten month period from August to June. Apply by August 12th to start in fall 2019!



Program Overview

The certificate consists of three sequential courses<https://www.colorado.edu/earthlab/earth-analytics-certificate/earth-data-analytics-courses?utm_source=listserv&utm_medium=listserv&utm_campaign=certificate-2019> and will provide you with the fundamental programming, spatial, and open science skills to allow you to address environmental challenges and work with earth systems data. You will leave the program with the ability to work with a wide variety of different data types in Python and use the command line, Git, and Github for version control. You will also learn core communication and collaboration skills needed to work on large interdisciplinary teams.



All tools taught in the program are based on market research to ensure that you graduate with skills that are in-demand in the job market. Graduates will be prepared to launch or advance careers as data scientists, data analysts, GIS/geospatial analysts, remote sensing scientists, or product managers, among other careers. The certificate is appropriate for recent graduates, experienced earth science professionals, and those ready for a new career.
