Subject: Greetings!
I am a recent graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park, with a double degree in Computer Science and Economics. I am interested in a software development and/or data science job where I can contribute to projects that are at the intersection of the environment and technology. I am particularly interested in the areas of renewable energy, ocean conservation, and wildlife conservation, but am open to other topics.
Through my education and internship experience, I trained in full-stack development (Java, C, Node.js, Ruby, Python), and have experience with data analysis and visualization (ggplot, matplotlib). For example, as a research assistant with the University of Maryland's School of Public Health, I used tidyverse to analyze viral infection data gathered from college students living in on-campus dormitories, and presented visuals created using ggplot to our team consisting of professors and graduate student researchers.
I am looking for opportunities where I can contribute to an impactful project, as well as learn about the environment and apply relevant technologies. I would appreciate your suggestions for people or organizations that could use my skills and experience.
I can be reached at: isolomon at terpmail.umd.edu<mailto:isolomon at terpmail.umd.edu>
Thank you,
Isaac Solomon
