[ESIP-all] Opportunity: NIH Data Scholar - Harnessing Geospatial Data for Environmental Public Health Protection

Please share the following opportunity with all who may be interested.

The National Institutes of Health is launching its annual Data and Technology Advancement (DATA) National Service Scholar Program. The program seeks experienced data and computer scientists and engineers to tackle challenging biomedical data problems with the potential for substantial public health impact.

In particular, the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences is sponsoring a DATA Scholar for its project on "Harnessing Geospatial Data for Environmental Public Health Protection." The Scholar's work will be scoped around a high-impact use case that addresses how environmental exposures and characteristics of industrialized settings impact health disparities in the aftermath of natural disasters.
