Dear ESIP Community

I am writing in advance of our upcoming session at the 2021 Summer ESIP meeting to ask for your input on future innovation of the ESIP Data Management Short Course Modules. These education modules were developed in 2012, targeting research data management and data stewardship topics for research scientists.

During our session this week, members of the Data Stewardship Committee will be discussing our plan for refreshing these materials through a two phase project. First, the review of current modules and second, a later revision phase based on the outcomes of the review process.

To aid us in Phase I, we are soliciting expressions of interest from community members that are willing to apply their data management expertise to reviewing one or more of these modules. This work would need to be conducted over the summer and during our session this week, we will outline the process, introducing the methodology and rationale. Attendance on Friday is not required as a reviewer since all materials and information will be available outside of the live session.

To indicate your interest in reviewing, see the list of topics covered and for more details please complete the brief form here:

Thank you in advance for your help

Best
