[ESIP-all] Public Registration Open – 3rd NOAA Workshop on Leveraging AI in Environmental Sciences

Dear Colleagues,

You are invited to participate in the 3rd NOAA Workshop on Leveraging AI in
Environmental Sciences (13 to 17 September 2021). The full program is
available on the workshop page (https://2021noaaaiworkshop.sched.com). This
virtual workshop will use Zoom as the video conferencing platform supported
by Earth Science Information Partners <http://esipfed.org/> with other
technologies to support virtual networking and poster presentations. The
workshop is free to attend and open to the public.

This year’s workshop highlights eight plenary sessions featuring speakers
from academia, government, and private industries including,

There will be 200 presentations (both oral and poster) covering topics on AI
for Weather and Climate, AI for Blue Economy, Trustworthy and Responsible
AI, Community of Practice and Workforce Development, Seamless AI Systems,
Research-to-Operation/Commercialization, and Tools and Datasets. To
facilitate networking among workshop attendees, there will be four
dedicated virtual networking sessions throughout the week.

The workshop will also host a joint virtual hackathon event together with
the Climate Informatics <http://www.climateinformatics.org/> community (7
to 10 September 2021) on wildfire, marine heatwaves, and climate model
emulation. We invite anyone who wants to use data science methods to
address environmental challenges to join this public hackathon event. The
hackathon winning groups will be invited to showcase their results during
the closing day of the workshop.
