Dear colleagues,

We encourage you to submit an abstract to IN043 - Promoting Diversity,
Equity, Inclusion, and Justice Across the Earth Science and Data
Informatics Communities

Session Description: The Earth Science and Data Informatics communities
have recognized the need for improving Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and
Justice (EDIJ) in their organizations and their work, and are beginning to
focus on related issues such as inequities in what is measured or studied.
These communities comprise of academia, government, non-profits, and
industry who are addressing EDIJ along multiple dimensions. The goal of
this session is to highlight bright spots, share lessons, and help our
community raise awareness and improve the overall EDIJ posture of Earth
Science and Data Informatics communities.
Submissions on EDIJ measures, lessons, challenges, successes, failures,
etc. are highly encouraged. Share your experiences and help us answer these
questions:
How is EDIJ being defined and related issues addressed? What policies,
practices, priorities, etc. are being established to promote EDIJ in your
organization or in your area of work? How is EDIJ progress being measured
within organizations and across communities?

The 2023 AGU Fall Meeting will be held 11-15 December 2023 in San Francisco
and online. Abstracts should be submitted through the AGU submission portal
by the deadline on Wednesday, 2 August 2023 at 23:59 EDT.
