[ESIP-all] Call for Leptoukh Lecture Nominees - Due 3/27/24

Hi All -

Apologies to those also on AGU Informatics Google Group for the cross-post
here.

I am the current chair of the Leptoukh Lecture committee
<https://www.agu.org/honors/leptoukh> for the AGU Informatics Section. We
are accepting nominations for the Leptoukh Lecture
<https://www.agu.org/honors/leptoukh>, an award named for Greg Leptoukh, a
long-time ESIP member and active AGU Informatics section contributor.

The goal of this award is to recognize the awardee’s research, educational,
or other accomplishments and the Union impact of his/her work. From the
website: *"Thus, this lecture aims to raise awareness of the
often-overlooked computational and data advances that enable breakthroughs
in science, as well as foster exceptional individuals to make continued
contributions in informatics and data science." *

There are many worthy candidates on this email list-serv. Re-submitting
updated past nominations is welcome. Details for nomination are here:

Nominations are due by March 27, 2024. To date we have not had any
nominations this year. Please let me know what questions you have and or if
there is something I can do to help support nominations.
