The ESIP Data Stewardship Committee (DSC) develops and promotes practices and standards to ensure long-term reliability, quality, and usability of Earth system science data.
We are launching an effort to systematically collect and synthesize practices and standards around managing interoperability artifacts to enable more effective data sharing across systems of different organizations and disciplines. While our primary focus is on Earth Science, use cases from other scientific domains are welcome.
If you or your colleagues deal with data management and stewardship practices in your organization/project – or if you simply want to learn what others are doing – we invite you to join us.
DSC meets monthly on the second Monday at 3:00 PM ET. Call-in details are available at ESIP Community Calendar<https://www.esipfed.org/community-calendar>, and you can stay informed by subscribing our mailing list at: https://lists.esipfed.org/mailman/listinfo/esip-preserve
Our next telecon is Monday, September 8, 2025 – we look forward to seeing you there!
Best regards,
Ge Peng (Peng), DSC Chair
