The Air Quality Cluster’s session is scheduled from 11:30am-1:00pm EDT on Wednesday, July 15. The ESIP staff have really worked some miracles in order to make the Summer Meeting as effective and interesting as possible in a remote-access setting. In an effort to make it as interactive as possible, we’re going to leverage the great tech tools they’ve made available.

There will be four technologies in use:

  1. Sched, the tool ESIP has used to set up the meetings in the past, now becomes an even more valuable asset (https://2020esipsummermeeting.sched.com/<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__2020esipsummermeeting.sched.com_&d=DwMGaQ&c=ApwzowJNAKKw3xye91w7BE1XMRKi2LN9kiMk5Csz9Zk&r=o5sgKyn2HppaUIaXyb206jB78KoR2hz4YRwLbxGcBQo&m=G5JXmwRpNZyAMbvrCxCQyJvCTIWZX3kzVl7ySi1ObnQ&s=VXLT0IvAVheegs7auCSbnCK-xIGGwpcWPO1CeIm5GAs&e=>). The AQ Cluster session can be found at (https://sched.co/cItw<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__sched.co_cItw&d=DwMGaQ&c=ApwzowJNAKKw3xye91w7BE1XMRKi2LN9kiMk5Csz9Zk&r=o5sgKyn2HppaUIaXyb206jB78KoR2hz4YRwLbxGcBQo&m=G5JXmwRpNZyAMbvrCxCQyJvCTIWZX3kzVl7ySi1ObnQ&s=T0mwEwvZXRMZlHE-fdZtJdBmIfVKrhWU3Qh8HGGCTVI&e=>). We’ll be meeting in Virtual Room 2. You can go there directly from the sched page by clicking the QiqoChat link, which you’ll find at the bottom of the page at https://sched.co/cltw.
  2. Qiqochat is the interactive meeting tool that will help people move from one meeting room to the next, and integrates Google Docs to provide a written collaboration environment that is linked to Zoom. It will be accessible from the active session link in item 1, above.
  3. Zoom is the video conference tool. When you login to qiqochat, you will enter the session in Room 2 by clicking on the green button on the left of the screen “Join Video for Room 2.” I recommend starting with your video off to save bandwidth and reduce the audio distortion that sometimes happens.
  4. We will use Google Docs for the jointly authoring/editing documents such as our meeting agenda, meeting notes and references.

Before the meeting, please take a look at our qiqochate dev environment, where you can see the agenda, the objectives for the meeting, and some notes about our 90-minute session.

We encourage you to revisit this page periodically to see how the planning is evolving. On this page, we will also provide links to some read ahead material so you have the background to participate as much as you like (Hint-the final exam is open book.) You will need to create a login so you can take care of that before the meeting starts. If you have material to be incorporated into the read-ahead library, please send it to either Beth or Mike (our addresses are on the cc line above).

PRESENTERS PLEASE NOTE: Please have your slides to me before the end of your day on Monday, July 13th. Mike will be doing the screen sharing in order to avoid any delays in moving from one speaker to the next, and the delays that can sometimes cause.

Anyone who wants to test drive any of the technology is welcome to logon to the dev-esipsummermeeting link above and go into the documents. If you want to try zoom with someone, please let us know and we can set up a time on Monday, July 13 to do a dry run on the dev site.

Mike and Beth
