Dear ESIP Air Quality Team: I hope everyone is doing well. We will hold
our monthly ESIP Air Quality Cluster meeting at the normal time and
coordinates (4th Thursday of the month etc.):

Thursday, 23 May 2024 4-5 PM U.S. Eastern

Zoom link:

https://us02web.zoom.us/j/89875556681?pwd=eGNaRzMrdmRTZHJlWFFYc3R4MEduQT09

I expect this meeting to be a short review of plans for the ESIP Summer
Meeting next month. (See: https://2024julyesipmeeting.sched.com/ ) We as
the AQ Cluster are sponsoring one session scheduled for Wednesday, July 24
4-530pm. The evolved session description is:

"*Advances in Air Quality Sensing and Data Dissemination*

Communities are seeking trustworthy, "real", actionable data and
information about their air quality. Concurrently, we are seeing tremendous
advances in sensors, some of them low-cost *in situ*, to monitor air
quality (AQ), and platforms to disseminate AQ data and information. Some
sensors enable and leverage participatory/community/citizen science
initiatives. New satellite sensors are providing unprecedented synoptic
views of AQ. Multiple platforms are disseminating AQ data, often in an open
environment. This session will offer a perspective on the needs of
under-served communities, discuss some recent sensor/data developments and
their significance, and touch on opportunities for further advances.

Tentative speaker list:

Introduction and Resources - Steve Young, EPA (retired), ESIP AQ Cluster
Co-chair
Community needs - Magali Sanchez-Hall, EMERGE, Wilmington CA (EJ community
in greater Los Angeles)
PurpleAir - Adrian Dybwad, Founder
OpenAQ - Colleen Rosales
RETIGO data analysis tool - Andrea Clements, EPA
TEMPO - Danny Kaufman, NASA
Short Q&A"
