Hello DMAC community,

Please join us on *Thursday, May 29 at 3 pm Eastern* for this month's IOOS
DMAC Tech webinar about GIS for the Ocean presented by Mimi D'Iorio, Ph.D.
from the Office of National Marine Sanctuaries. We encourage anyone
involved in marine life observing to attend and learn more about how these
data can be aggregated to provide broader insight into marine biodiversity.

*Abstract:*
GIS for the Ocean is a NOAA/Esri collaboration designed to transform
complex ocean data into intuitive insights that support a thriving blue
economy. Harnessing the combined power of NOAA data and Esri technology, it
seeks to democratize access to actionable information, empowering
users—from researchers and policymakers to coastal communities and
businesses—to more easily understand ocean patterns and trends. Come learn
how marine biodiversity indicators derived from the Ocean Biological
Information System (OBIS) and a wide range of other data have been
integrated into products and tools to support the GIS for the Ocean
initiative.

*We will be using Webex for the webinar. *Please see the connection
information below. This webinar will be recorded and posted to the IOOS
DMAC website <https://ioos.noaa.gov/project/dmac/> (see the DMAC Webinars
tab).
